Archer Hutchinson
Creative Director + Visual Artist
I’m a creative leader with a mission: to create purposeful design that moves people. With over a decade of experience, I’ve had the privilege of crafting strategic and visual solutions across web, mobile, and print for corporations, non-profits, civic and mission-driven organizations, and government entities.
My journey is rooted in a background in community organizing and social justice advocacy. For years, I worked on political campaigns, fought for workers’ rights, and advocated for homeless populations and hunger prevention, which taught me the power of empathy and the strategic skills needed to build movements. This experience fundamentally informs my design philosophy today, reminding me that a blank canvas is a beginning, and every design is a chance to create an empathetic, inclusive solution.
As the Creative Director for the City of New York, Office of the Comptroller, I lead a talented team of creatives. I set the creative vision for the Office of the New York City Comptroller and ensure all materials align with the office’s brand, mission, and goals. Before this, I founded and led my own creative agency, Tribe 360, where I built a track record of delivering impactful solutions for diverse clients.
For me, design is more than aesthetics; it’s a purposeful act of creation. The image you project isn’t just seen; it’s felt and believed. My approach is to help you forge that image with a clear strategic intent, bringing your desired reality into existence.
